Hardwood Brothers cases are beautifully handcrafted and well-engineered. Every corner is precisely mitered and fused together with a wooden dowel which creates a sturdy bond. This is found to be the most secure way to keep a case together. Each piece of curly maple wood is carefully hand selected and uniquely different. The assemble and creation time is well spent, designing a one-of-a-kind case for each customer.
Hardwood Brothers cases are made and used to display a variety of collectables. These collectables include: Artifacts, arrowheads, knives, guns, medals, coins, jewelry, jerseys, sport memorabilia, and many more. We understand the importance of each customer’s collection and the value in which it represents to them.
Hardwood Brothers is a family-owned business that takes pride in making each case by hand while also using all locally sourced materials. It is a true Made in America production.
HOW IT WORKS
Hardwood Brothers cases are engineered to securely hold items in place for display. First, you will want to take your item/items and place them on the foam exactly the way you want it to be displayed. Once you have your items placed to your preference, you will then close the lid of the case. Once the glass meets the item, the item will gently nestle down into the foam. Thick or thin, the high quality/low density foam underneath the placed item will conform around the object. This will create a secured home for your item. Close the latches and it is ready for display!
*Latches are lockable, and each case comes with a set of keys to keep your collectables safe.
Wood Choice
Hardwood Brothers cases are uniquely special for its carefully hand-selected pieces of wood and wood choice: Curly Maple.
Curly Maple, also known as “Tiger Maple”, is a feature of maple in which the growth of the wood fibers is distorted in an undulating swirl pattern, producing wavy lines known as “flames”. Prized for its beautiful appearance, Curly Maple is frequently used for manufacturing fine antique furniture and musical instruments. The cause of curl in trees is unknown but is highly sought after for its beautiful figure.
Each piece of wood is unique and has distinct characteristics due to the curls in the curly maple. The curls give each case a three dimensional and holographic effect. There isn’t a case that will be the same, providing you with a one-of-a-kind case.
The Stain
Our stain is an original, beautiful finish that provides a long-lasting smooth texture. The finish enhances the curls in the curly maple wood. This gives the cases an extra holographic look when the light hits the case.
The Foam
We provide each case with a custom cut high quality/low density charcoal foam that is inserted into the cases, creating a secure and accurate fit. Its low-density material creates a self-healing process; meaning it will bounce back to its original form if you were to remove the placed item.
The Glass
Our locally sourced double strength glass provides a high compression rate. Sturdy and durable, our glass will have no distortions. Because of its durability, the glass should not break when the case is closed properly. (Make sure you have the right interior dimensions for your item)
The Latches, Hinges, and Backboard
Our brass latches and hinges are not only durable but long lasting. This gives them a high retention rate. They are security friendly and will have the ability to lock if needed. Each case will come with a set of keys placed underneath the foam. Our backboard is locally sourced and double reinforced with glue and staples to create a very secure fit.
